“Les Yvelines Has All This!” is an original commissioned film illustrating the dynamism and appeal of the Les Yvelines département just west of Paris.
Personalized as a character, and adopting an offbeat tone, the region’s new promotional campaign was launched on a humoristic note with this entertaining film on 22 June 2016. The cheerful “Jean-Louis Velines” – a play-on-words on the name of the département in French – set out to help the public discover the best of an area with much to offer. The promotional film was watched some 11,000 times on YouTube, and was relayed on Jean-Louis Veline’s Facebook page created for the occasion. Played by the actor Jean-Louis Barcelona, Jean-Louis Velines presents the region’s diverse riches in his own special way…
The film is series of sketches with offbeat humor and special effects rarely seen in institutional films, including a remarkable “living statue”, a look behind the scenes in the R&D department of the Renault Technocentre in Guyancourt, and an immersion in the Val Fourré market. In four minutes, the corporate film borne along by its mascot takes in all of Les Yvelines’ key features using humor to showcase them at their best.

More than just a corporate film, it was about making an advertising film whose long version has been reworked as a teaser that is equally effective.
First publicized by a poster campaign in three Paris stations from which trains run to Les Yvelines (Montparnasse, La Défense, Saint-Lazare), the corporate film and its teaser were available on social media via an online campaign, and were screened in all the département’s cinemas.

This corporate film that is both cinematographic and funny was among 27 nominees for the Grand Prix Cap’com in the Attractiveness and Marketing of a Region category for its “tight concept which results in a funny, offbeat promotional film.”
